This art deco, three bedroom, two story house is situated in the Hampstead Garden suburb.

Client Brief

The client wanted to make use of the existing loft space that currently had no established purpose. It was suggested to the client to incorporate a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and new stairs leading to the loft.

Advice Solution

As architects, we advised the client on the necessary consent needed. They included, ‘Hampstead Garden Trust‘ consent as well as planning and building control consent from the local authority.


The new proposal successfully transformed the house from a three-bedroom into a four-bedroom house. This scheme was run on a RIBA building contract administered by us as architects.

Stage two for this house is to convert the existing garage into a habitable room with new access to the existing garden. 
Design work has begun and both planning approval and Hampstead Garden Trust consent have already been approved.
