This house recently purchased by overseas clients was a grade 2 listed building over five floors.

Client Brief

The feasibility and preplanning scheme is for a two-story extension to the existing building with internal alterations and a small lift to the rear of the existing building.


Further design options explored were keeping the existing use of the building with proposed internal alterations that would facilitate a boutique hotel use.

We suggested to the client that a pre-planning application might be submitted to Westminster Council, as this would be useful in order to understand the planners concerns. This ultimately saved on abortive works and cost to the client.

Also, we advised the client to use historic consultants and suggested and worked closely with a Planning Specialist who we recomended.
